Medical Assistance in Dying (MAID)

In June, 2016, the federal government passed legislation to include circumstances under which medical assistance in dying (MAID) is permitted.

Waterloo Wellington LHIN understands that medical assistance in dying (MAID) is an important, sensitive, and emotional issue and want to provide accurate and up-to-date information which allows patients and caregivers to make an informed choice. A brochure, describing MAID for patients & families is avialble here.
